A rescue team from Virginia has helped save survivors from earthquake rubble in Venezuela. The team, along with French and Venezuelan rescuers, made the discovery in La Guaira state, one of the areas hardest hit by the recent earthquakes.

The rescuers found a man and his young son trapped under a concrete mass. The man had been trapped for four days and was pulled out with his phone still in his hand. His son was also rescued, shirtless and nearly unresponsive.

Further details of the rescue are available from NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth.
