The Flower Mound Police Department is reviving its Motorcycle Unit, which was initially launched in 1996. After being phased out by 2007, the unit is now being brought back to help keep roads safe.

Officers have undergone extensive training to prepare for their new roles. This training included a course with the Texas Department of Public Safety and work with neighboring agencies' motorcycle units.

Further details about the unit's revival and its operations are available from the Flower Mound Police Department. The return of the Motorcycle Unit is expected to be noticeable to residents, with two-wheeled patrol units soon to be seen on local roadways.
