A new commercial airline carrier is coming to the area. Avelo Airlines, based in Houston, will be flying out of McKinney National Airport. The airline has announced its first nonstop domestic flights, which will include routes to several cities.
The destinations include Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as four cities in Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa. Flights are set to begin on November 11. Avelo Airlines will be using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft for these flights.
